ISLAMABAD, Oct 19 (APP): National Accreditation Council for Technical and Vocational Stream (NAC-TVS) granted approval to grant accreditation to seventy-eight (78) TVET institutes, which makes total count of nationally accredited institutes to 655.
The approval was given during 5th meeting of NAC-TVS held here Wednesday at National Vocational Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
The list of accredited institutes was uploaded on the website of the Commission.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairman NAC-TVS, Mian Waqas Masud and attended by the Director General AC&IC, NAVTTC and the members of the Council which included Pakistan Engineering Council, Provincial TEVTAs, Employers Federation of Pakistan, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and other stakeholders. Chairman NAVTTC Shahid Khan also graced the occasion.
Recommendations of TVET Accreditation and Quality Evaluation Committee (TA038;QEC) for grant of accreditation to TVET institutes in public and private was an agenda item of the meeting. The other agenda item was the revision of Accreditation Manual of NAVTTC, which was developed in 2018. NAVTTC through its Accreditation Council has reviewed and revised the manual with the technical support of British Council.
The Accreditation Manual is a quality evaluation Manual to accredit public and private TVET institutes across the country, against specific quality assurance standards.
The revised Accreditation Manual is being uploaded on the website of NAVTTC (www.navttc.gov.pk) for review and comments from stakeholders (TVET service provides, public and private vocational and technical training institutes, Assessors, teachers, industry personnel, employers and the General Public).
In this regard, views, comments and suggestions regarding revised accreditation process and standards can be share online on the website of NAVTTC till 15th November, 2022.
